Nana’s All Sports Cookbook

Nana’s All Sports Cookbook is a cookbook to raise money for three worthwhile organizations. In alphabetical order they are International Game Fish Association, Kansas University Endowment Fund (for spinal cord research) and the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame.

The recipes include fish and game, domestic meat dishes, soups, salads, vegetables, breads, rolls, pastries, cakes, cookies, candy, desserts, drinks, snacks, misc. and hints. In other words anything you would find in any cookbook.

We want recipes from as many different areas of the world as possible to give us a variety of ideas. If you have a favorite grilling dish, tailgating or snack, we would love to share it with the world. In order to avoid mistakes, please type your recipes.

We are asking for them no later than December 1, 2009. You can send them to

Be sure your recipe includes the size of container to use, time to cook and temperature. Please use the standard abbreviations tsp=teaspoon, T=tablespoon and lb=pound.

Nora was active in 4H as a youth, graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a degree in Vocational Home Economics. She was a professional educator for several years. She later became active in the farm implement industry and retired from New Holland Credit in 2000. She now is with State Street in Kansas City, active with Toys for Tots through her company, her church and other charitable activities.

The sale of the books are divided three ways.  One third is forwarded to KU Endowment, one third to International Game Fish Association and one third to The National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame.
